Jeremiah 3:12-18

New King James Version

¹²Go and proclaim these words toward ^(A)the north, and say:

‘Return, backsliding Israel,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not cause My anger to fall on you.
For I am ^(B)merciful,’ says the Lord;
‘I will not remain angry forever.
¹³^(C)Only acknowledge your iniquity,
That you have transgressed against the Lord your God,
And have ^(D)scattered your ^[a]charms
To ^(E)alien deities ^(F)under every green tree,
And you have not obeyed My voice,’ says the Lord.

¹⁴“Return, O backsliding children,” says the Lord; ^(G)“for I am married to you. I will take you, ^(H)one from a city and two from a family, and I will bring you to ^(I)Zion. ¹⁵And I will give you ^(J)shepherds according to My heart, who will ^(K)feed you with knowledge and understanding.

¹⁶“Then it shall come to pass, when you are multiplied and ^(L)increased in the land in those days,” says the Lord, “that they will say no more, ‘The ark of the covenant of the Lord.’ ^(M)It shall not come to mind, nor shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor shall it be made anymore.

¹⁷“At that time Jerusalem shall be called The Throne of the Lord, and all the nations shall be gathered to it, ^(N)to the name of the Lord, to Jerusalem. No more shall they ^(O)follow^[b] the dictates of their evil hearts.

¹⁸“In those days ^(P)the house of Judah shall walk with the house of Israel, and they shall come together out of the land of ^(Q)the north to ^(R)the land that I have given as an inheritance to your fathers.

¹²Now it came to pass in those days that He went out to the mountain to pray, and continued all night in ^(B)prayer to God. ¹³And when it was day, He called His disciples to Himself; ^(C)and from them He chose ^(D)twelve whom He also named apostles: ¹⁴Simon, ^(E)whom He also named Peter, and Andrew his brother; James and John; Philip and Bartholomew; ¹⁵Matthew and Thomas; James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon called the Zealot; ¹⁶Judas ^(F)the son of James, and ^(G)Judas Iscariot who also became a traitor.

Jesus Heals a Great Multitude^(H)

¹⁷And He came down with them and stood on a level place with a crowd of His disciples ^(I)and a great multitude of people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and from the seacoast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear Him and be healed of their diseases, ¹⁸as well as those who were tormented with unclean spirits. And they were healed. ¹⁹And the whole multitude ^(J)sought to ^(K)touch Him, for ^(L)power went out from Him and healed them all.
